Board & Committee Applications

All SolarShare members are eligible to nominate themselves for election to the board of directors, and three directors are elected each year. Three of our current directors are running for re-election to the board: Glen Campbell, Doug Finley, and Patrick Collie. If you are interested running for the board of directors, please send us up to 250 words to promote your candidacy along with a resume or curriculum vitae to invest@solarbonds.ca, which will be provided to the membership for the election.

The best way for members (and non-members!) to support SolarShare is to contribute your time and expertise as member of one of our committees. We welcome enquiries from those who are interested in joining a committee; please send an email to invest@solarbonds.ca to learn more.

Our ideal board and committee candidates represent the diversity of Ontarians and have some of the following experience:

  • Community engagement
  • Government relations
  • Finance (especially debt finance) and strategic planning
  • Solar energy engineering, procurement, construction and operation
  • Not-for-profit and/or co-operative sectors
  • Working with boards of directors and committees
