About The Role
SolarShare is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support member engagement, investor communications, marketing campaigns, and public-facing communications.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between content creation, digital marketing, campaign execution, member communications, events, partnerships, and performance tracking. The successful candidate will help ensure that SolarShare communicates consistently, reaches the right audiences, and learns from campaign results, applying a growth mentality and continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
Member and Investor Communications
- Respond to member and prospective investor inquiries by email and phone.
- Proactively follow up with prospective investors and members where appropriate.
- Support management of sales and general communications inboxes.
- Prepare member updates, investor communications, campaign messages, and other audience-specific communications.
Content and Digital Communications
- Manage and produce content for SolarShare’s website, blog, social media channels, and email newsletters.
- Maintain a regular communications calendar covering member updates, investment campaigns, organizational news, educational content, and events.
- Develop clear calls to action and campaign messaging tailored to priority audiences.
- Develop and maintain presentations, digital assets, posters, brochures, and other sales and communications materials.
Digital Marketing and Campaign Execution
- Support the planning and execution of investment marketing campaigns across email, social media, digital advertising, earned media, events, and partnerships.
- Coordinate paid digital advertising campaigns across Meta, LinkedIn, Google, and other appropriate channels.
- Apply audience segmentation and creative testing to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Coordinate campaign landing pages and ensure tracking is in place where possible.
- Refine and implement SEO improvements recommended by external marketing partners.
- Support Google Ads campaigns and other digital acquisition initiatives.
Analytics, CRM and Attribution
- Monitor campaign performance using advertising-platform analytics, Google Analytics, CRM data, and investment transaction data.
- Prepare regular reporting on website traffic, leads, engagement, conversion, and funded investment where measurable.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including lead source, campaign activity, follow-up status, and other information required for campaign analysis.
- Support improvements to marketing attribution and tracking across the investor journey.
- Identify trends in campaign performance and recommend improvements to targeting, messaging, channels, and execution.
Partnerships, Media and Sponsorships
- Identify and pursue values-aligned advertising, media, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate advertising opportunities with publications such as The Green Line, The Grind, and similar outlets.
- Support earned-media activities, including media pitches, interview coordination, background materials, and media inquiries.
- Build relationships with organizations and partners that can expand SolarShare’s reach to prospective members and investors.
Events and Webinars
- Identify relevant community, environmental, investment, and social-finance events for SolarShare participation.
- Attend events on behalf of SolarShare.
- Coordinate sponsorships, registrations, event logistics, displays, and follow-up.
- Organize webinars and other educational or promotional events, including speakers, promotion, registration, and post-event communications.
Budget and Coordination
- Track marketing expenditures against budget.
- Coordinate with staff, contractors, designers, agencies, and external partners to ensure campaigns and communications are delivered on schedule.
- Help assess the effectiveness of different marketing channels and activities.
- Undertake other projects that support member engagement, investor acquisition, communications, and marketing objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- SolarShare maintains a consistent, high-quality communications cadence with members and prospective investors.
- Campaigns are executed on time and with appropriate audience segmentation.
- Paid advertising is supported by strong organic communications, member outreach, and follow-up.
- CRM and campaign data are maintained well enough to support meaningful performance and attribution analysis.
- Marketing activity generates measurable growth in website engagement, qualified investor leads, and funded investment.
- SolarShare develops a stronger understanding of which audiences, messages, and channels are most effective and applies those lessons to future campaigns.
